Initial architectural concepts showed a desire for a
buttressed timber roof with all structural elements exposed and a ceiling
finished with timber sarking to create a modern interpretation of a
classical construction. Ornamental carved wooden elements were required to
be integrated into the timber structure to generate an atmosphere of
traditional craftsmanship. |
